Buy a case, spin the reel, take whatever it lands on. Each case holds a published list of items and each item is worth a fixed amount of Old School RuneScape gold - the item is the prize, so what you see on the reel is what lands in your balance.

How to play Cases

  1. Pick a case. Its full contents and the exact drop chance of every item are on the case page before you spend anything.
  2. Open it - the price is fixed per case, so there is no stake to set.
  3. One item is drawn from the committed server seed, and the reel spins to the result rather than deciding it.
  4. The item's value is credited the moment the reel lands.
  5. Open up to four at once; each is an independent draw with its own nonce.

About Cases

Every case on the site returns 90%, and it is not tuned to get there - a case is authored as a list of items and chances, and its price is then derived as the expected value divided by 0.90. That is why no case price is a round number, and it is why the edge cannot drift when a case is retuned.

Cases carry a 10% house edge where the rest of the site runs 1% to 3%. That is the standard rate for case opening, and the trade is variance: a case pays out rarely and large rather than often and small. The published odds table on every case is there so that trade is visible before you take it.

Cases FAQ

What's the house edge on Cases?

10%. Every case returns 90%, derived from its own published item table rather than set by hand.

Are the drop chances published?

Yes - every item's exact chance is shown on the case page and in the right-click panel on the case grid, and they are the same numbers the server draws against.

Can I sell the items I pull?

There's nothing to sell. An item is how an amount is dressed - pull it and its value is credited to your balance straight away.

Is it provably fair?

Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.
