A slot in the Gates of Olympus family, with Saradomin standing where Zeus does. Thirty symbols fall onto a six by five grid and any symbol pays when eight or more of it are on screen at once, wherever they sit. Winners leave, the rest fall, new symbols drop in, and it goes on until nothing pays. Saradomin strikes the board with lightning and leaves his star on a cell with a multiplier from 2x to 500x, in the base game as much as the free spins. When a tumble sequence ends with a win, every star on screen is added together and the whole sequence is multiplied by the sum.

How to play Gates of Saradomin

  1. Set your bet and spin. There are no paylines. The five cut gems of Gielinor are the low symbols and Commander Zilyana's four Saradomin drops are the high ones: Saradomin's light, the Saradomin sword, the Saradomin hilt and the Saradomin godsword.
  2. Eight or more of one symbol anywhere on the grid pays. There are three bands: 8 to 9, 10 to 11, and 12 or more. Several symbols can pay on the same screen and the pays are added.
  3. Winning symbols leave the grid, the survivors fall, and new symbols drop in from above. The sequence keeps going while something pays, with no limit, and is paid once when it ends.
  4. Saradomin can strike any cell on any drop with a star worth 2x to 500x. Stars never pay alone and are never removed. If the sequence ends with a win, the stars on screen are added together and the whole sequence is multiplied by the sum. On a sequence that pays nothing the stars are lost.
  5. Four or more Saradomin scatters anywhere open 15 free spins and pay 3x, 5x or 100x for four, five or six. In the free spins the round keeps a total multiplier. A winning spin with at least one star adds its stars to the total and is multiplied by the new total. A winning spin with no star is paid as it is. Three or more scatters during the free spins add five more.
  6. Ante Bet stakes a quarter more and lands the free spins about twice as often. Buy Free Spins costs 100x your bet and lands four scatters on the next spin. The two cannot be on together. A round is capped at 5,000x your bet and ends there.

About Gates of Saradomin

Gates of Saradomin follows the game that made pays-anywhere tumbling the most played format in slots. We rebuilt that idea for RuneScape gold and gave the lightning to Saradomin, which suits him: the god of order and light, the one Commander Zilyana holds the God Wars Dungeon for, and the one whose sword's special attack is called Saradomin's Lightning. Here he stands beside the reels on the white stone of his encampment, staff in hand, and every star he leaves on the board carries his four-pointed symbol.

The stars are where the game lives. They land in the base game too, not only in the free spins, and about one spin in four has one on screen. Most of the time they land on a spin that pays nothing and are lost, which is the tension the game is built on. When one lands on a winning sequence the whole sequence is multiplied, so a small win with a 25x star beside it pays more than most big groups on their own. Over 60 million simulated spins the stars carry nearly half of the return, the plain tumble pays a quarter, and the free spins most of the rest, for 96.5% in total. About 28 spins in 100 pay something and the free spins open about once in 448 spins, or once in 210 with the Ante Bet on.

The free spins change one rule and it changes everything. The multiplier is no longer summed and spent on one sequence. It is a total that lasts the whole round, and every winning spin a star lands on adds to it and is paid at the new total. A total of 40x by the tenth spin means a plain 8 of a kind on the fourteenth, with one 2x star beside it, pays 42 times what it would have. That is why the feature is worth its 100x buy, and why a round late in the free spins can reach the 5,000x cap.

The music is his. The base game plays the track of Saradomin's Encampment and the free spins switch to the God Wars Dungeon's own. Everything a spin does is decided from the provably fair seed before a symbol moves: every drop, every star and its value, every scatter, and the whole chain of tumbles, which is computed on the server and replayed on screen.

Gates of Saradomin FAQ

What is Gates of Saradomin?

An Old School RuneScape themed slot in the Gates of Olympus family. Six reels by five rows, pays anywhere from eight of a kind, tumbles without limit, and multiplier stars from 2x to 500x that Saradomin strikes onto the board in the base game and the free spins.

How do the multiplier stars work?

A star can land on any cell on any drop. It never pays on its own and is never removed by a tumble. When the sequence ends with a win, every star on screen is added together and the whole sequence's win is multiplied by the sum. If the sequence paid nothing the stars are lost.

How do the free spins work?

Four or more Saradomin scatters open 15 free spins. The round keeps a total multiplier that starts at zero. A winning spin with at least one star on screen adds its stars to the total and is multiplied by the new total. A winning spin with no star is paid without it. Three or more scatters during the free spins add five more, without limit.

What do the Ante Bet and Buy Free Spins do?

Ante Bet raises the stake by a quarter and lands the free spins about twice as often, at the same return. Buy Free Spins costs 100 times your bet and puts four scatters on the next spin, which pays them and opens the feature. You cannot use both at once.

What is the RTP of Gates of Saradomin?

96.5%, measured over 60 million simulated spins, in every mode: the base game, the Ante Bet and the buy. The most a round can pay is 5,000x your bet.

Who is Saradomin in OSRS?

Saradomin is the god of order, light and wisdom, the four-pointed star on the banners of Falador and the White Knights. His champion Commander Zilyana holds his encampment in the God Wars Dungeon and drops the Saradomin sword, Saradomin's light and the Saradomin hilt, which are the high symbols in this slot.

Is it provably fair?

Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.
