The chicken is on the kerb and the road is full of traffic. Every lane it makes it across raises the multiplier on your stake, a car in a lane ends the run, and you can cash out after any lane. The difficulty you pick decides how many cars are waiting.
How to play Chicken Cross
Pick a difficulty. Easy hides 1 car among 25 spots and gives you 24 lanes to cross, Medium 3 cars and 22 lanes, Hard 5 cars and 20 lanes, Daredevil 10 cars and 15 lanes.
Set your stake and press Start Game. The whole road is fixed the moment you bet.
Press Go, or click the next manhole, to cross one lane. Every manhole shows what you would take home at that lane.
Cash out after any lane you have crossed. Reach the far kerb and the run pays out on its own.
Step into a lane with a car in it and the run is over and the stake is lost.
About Chicken Cross
The road is drawn from 25 spots and the difficulty decides how many of them are cars: 1, 3, 5 or 10. A lane's multiplier is the inverse of the odds of surviving that far, times 0.96, so every point you could cash out at returns 96% on average and the difficulty changes the swings, not the cut.
These are the same numbers the game runs at on the big crypto casinos, lane for lane, down to the cent. Daredevil's first lane pays 1.60x, the sixth 33.97x, and the fifteenth 3,138,009.60x. No single round pays more than $1,000,000 worth, in whichever currency you play.
Space crosses a lane and C cashes out, if you would rather keep your hands on the keyboard. Auto mode crosses a set number of lanes every round and cashes out for you.
Chicken Cross FAQ
What is the house edge on Chicken Cross?
4%, the same at every difficulty and every lane: each multiplier is 0.96 over the true odds of getting that far.
How is this different from Party Run?
Party Run is the 20-spot version at 98%. Chicken Cross is the 25-spot game with longer roads and a much higher top end.
Can I cash out mid-road?
Yes, after any lane you have crossed. The amount is on the button and on the manhole the chicken is standing on.
Is Chicken Cross provably fair?
Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.
