Dice is the most transparent game here. Drag the slider to whatever win chance you want, choose roll-over or roll-under, and the payout multiplier updates to exactly 99 divided by that chance. A 49.5% chance pays 2x; a 2% chance pays 49.5x. Nothing is hidden in a paytable because there isn't one.

How to play Dice

  1. Drag the slider to set your target, or type the win chance or multiplier you want - the other two update to match.
  2. Choose whether you're rolling over or under the target. Your win chance can be anything from 0.01% to 99.99%.
  3. Set your stake. The payout is always 99 divided by your win chance, so 50% pays 1.98x, 10% pays 9.9x and 1% pays 99x.
  4. Roll. A number from 0.00 to 99.99 comes back, and if it's on your side of the target you're paid instantly.
  5. Switch to Auto to roll a set number of bets back to back at the same settings.

About Dice

The formula is `multiplier = 99 / win_chance`, and the fact that it's 99 rather than 100 is the entire house edge - a flat 1% at every setting. That makes Dice the cleanest game on the site for testing a staking system, because the edge doesn't move when your strategy does.

This is the OSRS dice game most players are actually looking for when they search for it: the classic in-game version was two players and a host you had to trust, and the trust was the problem. Here the roll comes from a hash you can verify rather than from someone's word.

Because rolls are instant and the range is continuous, Dice is also the game most used with the site's auto-bet - set a chance, a stake, and on-win/on-loss adjustments, and let it run.

Dice FAQ

How does OSRS dice work here?

You set a win chance and roll a number from 0.00 to 99.99. If it lands on your side of the target you're paid 99 divided by your win chance. There is no host and no trust involved - the number is derived from a seed pair you can verify.

What's the house edge on Dice?

Exactly 1%, at every win chance from 0.01% to 99.99%. It's the difference between the 99 in the payout formula and a fair 100.

Is it provably fair?

Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.

Can I gamble OSRS gold on Dice?

Stakes are in Old School RuneScape gold (or RS3 GP), traded in game with a real host - not a token you can't cash back out.
