The OSRS Yama slot · Mini, Minor, Maxi and Grand jackpots · free games · 95.95% RTP
A slot built around Yama, the Master of Pacts, the demon boss at the bottom of the Chasm of Fire. Every one of the fifteen positions is its own reel. Gold coins and four jackpot seals land wrapped in chains and pay nothing while they are locked. Yama is wild, and when he lands in the centre seat he breaks every chain on the board and pays all of it at once. That is the only way a jackpot is won, the Grand included, so every spin with chained gold on it comes down to the last reel.
Yama's Lock follows a casino floor favourite where cash lands locked on the reels and one character holds the key. We rebuilt that idea for RuneScape gold and gave the key to Yama, which suits him: in Old School RuneScape he is the Master of Pacts, a level 1,238 demon who deals in contracts from a throne at the bottom of the Chasm of Fire. Here he sits on that throne beside the reels and watches. He stands up when he rewinds a reel or throws his wilds, and in the free games the throne is empty because he has moved to the centre of the board.
The four jackpots are fixed prizes that scale with your bet, not shared pools: Mini 3.7x, Minor 11.3x, Maxi 75.75x and Grand 1,000x. The plaques above the reels re-price the moment you change your stake, so the number you see is the number you would be paid. They land on the reels like any other prize and stay chained until Yama takes the seat. Over 60 million simulated spins a Mini unlocks about once in 41 spins, a Minor once in 135, a Maxi once in about 1,000 and the Grand about once in 12,700.
Most of the return is in the chains, not the lines. Line pays are small by design, from 0.075x for three runes to 3.78x for five Oathplate helms. Across the whole game the lines return about 12 percent, the unlocked coins and jackpots about 40 percent, the free games about 38 percent, and Yama's multiplier and gift the rest, for 95.95 percent in total. About three spins in eight pay something, and Yama takes the seat roughly once in every six and a half spins.
A worked example at a 666K bet. Coins land between 300K and 999K, and the jackpots are Mini 2.5M, Minor 7.5M, Maxi 50.4M and Grand 666M. Say a 400K, a 599K and a 799K coin land with a Minor seal, and a Fire rune stops in the centre: that is a near miss and pays nothing. The same board with Yama in the centre pays 400K + 599K + 799K + 7.5M, which is 9.3M or 14x your bet. If Yama had rewound the centre reel into himself, the near miss would have become that 9.3M. Five Oathplate helms on a line pay 2.5M, and with his x3 multiplier that line is 7.6M.
The music is his. The base game plays the Chasm of Fire's track and the free games switch to the track from the Yama fight itself. Everything a spin does is decided from the provably fair seed before a reel moves: what each of the fifteen reels lands on, what every chained prize is worth, whether Yama appears and what he does, and whether a basin erupts.
An Old School RuneScape themed slot built around the demon boss Yama. It has fifteen independent reels on 40 lines. Coins and four jackpot seals land chained, and Yama, who is wild, unlocks and pays all of them when he lands in the centre seat.
A Mini, Minor, Maxi or Grand seal has to be on the board, chained, at the moment Yama takes the centre seat. He breaks the chain and the jackpot is paid. There is no pick game and no separate bonus for it. Yama can arrive by landing there, or by rewinding the centre reel into himself.
No. They are fixed prizes that scale with your bet: 3.7x, 11.3x, 75.75x and 1,000x. The amounts on the plaques change when your bet changes, and what you see is what is paid.
Every time Yama is seated he feeds the two fire basins under the reels, and either one can erupt at random. Each eruption is 6 free games, so 12 if both go. In free games Yama is locked in the centre, which means every chained prize that lands is paid immediately.
They count how many times Yama has taken the centre seat since that basin last erupted: Embers, then Flame at 3, Hellfire at 6, Shadowfire at 9 and Soulfire at 12. A basin resets when it erupts. The colour does not change the odds, which stay at about 6.8 in 100 per basin every time he sits.
95.95%, measured over 60 million simulated spins. The most a single spin can pay is 5,000x your bet.
Yama, the Master of Pacts, is a level 1,238 demon boss released on 14 May 2025. He lives in Yama's Domain at the bottom of the Chasm of Fire and is unlocked by completing A Kingdom Divided. He drops the Oathplate armour and the soulflame horn, which are the high symbols in this slot.
Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.
