What a master clue casket is worth

There is no master clue chance to add on top, because this is the tier that chance feeds into. A master casket is the end of the line.
What the average does not tell you
The stated average is dragged upwards by outcomes almost nobody sees. Third age sits at the far end of this table at odds the wiki publishes in the millions per roll, and the bloodhound pet is its own long shot on top.
So the typical master casket is worth noticeably less than 637k, and the gap between the average and the median is wider here than at any other tier. That is not a criticism of the tier, it is how every deep loot table behaves, and it is worth understanding before you build expectations on an average.
It also cuts the other way. The reason people chase masters is precisely that the tail exists: one casket can be worth more than every clue you have ever done put together, which no amount of steady value at a lower tier can replicate.
The best way to get master clue scrolls
There is no monster that drops one. Every master clue in the game comes from somewhere else, and there are only two routes.
The first is the reward caskets of every tier below, at 1 in 50 from easy, 1 in 30 from medium, 1 in 15 from hard and 1 in 5 from elite. That last rate is the whole reason people farm elites: one master clue for every five elites finished, on top of the elite caskets themselves.
The second is Watson, in Hosidius. Hand him one of each of an easy, medium, hard and elite clue and he gives you a master clue for the set. If you are sitting on odd scrolls from different tiers, that is usually a better use of them than doing each one separately for its own casket.
The steps themselves are the longest in the game and assume a developed account, so a master clue is a project rather than an errand. That is part of why the open at the end carries the weight it does.

As a thing to do, they are among the most enjoyable content in the game and the only clue tier where a single open can genuinely change your bank.
