What an easy clue casket is worth, what is actually in it, and whether easy clues are worth doing at all.
An easy reward casket averages around 29k. It rolls two to four times, so three on average, and each roll is worth roughly 9.6k. Those figures move with the Grand Exchange because most of the table is tradeable, so read them as the shape of the tier rather than as a quote.
The number most people actually want is the value of completing one, which is higher: the casket carries a 1 in 50 chance of a master clue scroll, and that chance is worth roughly as much again as the casket itself. A completed easy clue comes out around 45k.
Every easy casket reward is below, with the rate per roll Jagex published, the chance of seeing it in one casket across the two to four rolls, today's Grand Exchange price and what each row adds to the average. The tables are regenerated from the published rates and repriced off the Grand Exchange on every deploy, so the numbers move with the market rather than with whenever somebody last edited the page.
There is no single headline drop. The value is spread across the shared table and the black equipment, and the note under each group shows how evenly. That is why an easy casket is the most predictable open in the game: the typical run in the calculator sits close to the average, which is not true of any tier above it.
Open a hundred in the calculator and the total barely moves between runs. Open a hundred masters and it moves by millions. That difference is the whole character of the easy tier.

Opening gourmet impling jars is the fastest method there is, at a 1 in 25 chance of an easy clue per jar. It is also the most expensive, because you are buying the jars rather than earning them, so it is the answer if you want clues specifically and the time matters more than the gold.
Pickpocketing H.A.M. members is the method most people actually use, at 1 in 50. The females need 15 Thieving and the males 20, and the rate is the same from both, so go for whichever is closer. The dungeon is dense, the respawns are instant and you are training Thieving while you do it, which is why it has been the standard answer for years.
Pickpocketing wealthy citizens is 1 in 85. The rate looks worse than it plays because you get around twenty attempts per distraction, but the wait between distractions drags the clues per hour below H.A.M. members in practice. Killing Brutus is 1 in 40 and worth knowing about if you are already there.
There is no shortage of sources beyond these. Easy clues drop from a long list of low level monsters, so if you are already killing something in that bracket you will accumulate them without trying.
