A Wilderness slot with a duel at its heart. Five reels by five rows and fifteen lines pay left to right from three of a kind. Land a VS symbol and, if turning that reel wild completes a win, it expands: two pkers meet at the ends of the reel, one falls, and the survivor's multiplier, 2x to 100x, goes on every win the reel is part of. Several expanded reels in one line add their multipliers together. Three scatters open three different bonus games.

How to play Wanted: Dead or a Wildy

  1. Set your bet and spin. The 10, J, Q, K and A are the low symbols; the skull and the bandit, then the coins and the brew, pay more; the dragon claws pay the most. The WILD emblem stands for any of them and pays 20x for five.
  2. Fifteen fixed lines pay from the left for three, four or five of a kind. Several lines can pay on one spin and the pays are added.
  3. A VS symbol expands to fill its reel with wilds if that puts it in a winning line. A duel decides the reel's multiplier, 2x to 100x. Expanded reels in the same line add their multipliers, and five expanded reels make the whole board wild.
  4. Three DUEL scatters open Duel at Dawn: 10 free spins with a VS symbol on every spin. Buy it for 200x your bet.
  5. Three DEAD scatters open Dead Man's Hand: three respins that collect wilds and multipliers, every collect resetting the count to three, up to 20 wilds and a 31x multiplier. Then three showdown spins with the collected wilds dropped in at random and every win multiplied. Buy it for 400x your bet.
  6. Three HEIST scatters open The Great Heist: 10 free spins where every wild that lands stays for the rest of the feature. Buy it for 80x your bet. A round is capped at 12,500x your bet.

About Wanted: Dead or a Wildy

Wanted: Dead or a Wildy is the OSRS version of Wanted Dead or a Wild, the slot that made the duel reel famous, moved to the one place in Gielinor that already looks like its blood-red desert: the Wilderness at night, dead trees under a huge moon, bandits, skulls and bounty posters. The symbols are the Wilderness's own: the PK skull, a bandit, a sack of coins, a Saradomin brew, dragon claws, and the Bounty Hunter emblem as the wild.

The VS symbol is the whole game. On its own it does nothing. When expanding it would complete a line, the reel turns wild and two pkers face off across it; the one left standing puts their multiplier on the reel, and if two or three reels expand in the same line those multipliers are added before the pay is worked out. Five expanded reels at once make every line a five-wild line.

The three bonus games are three different tempers. The Great Heist is the steady one: ten spins where wilds pile up and stay. Duel at Dawn is the loud one: a duel on every spin. Dead Man's Hand is the slow burn: collect, then unleash. Each has its own buy price, and the price is set so that buying is worth the same as waiting.

This is an extremely volatile slot, as the original is. Long losing runs are normal, in the base game and in bought features alike. Everything a spin does is decided from the provably fair seed before a reel moves: every symbol, every duel, every collected wild and where it lands.

Wanted: Dead or a Wildy FAQ

What is Wanted: Dead or a Wildy?

An Old School RuneScape themed slot set in the Wilderness, built as a faithful take on Wanted Dead or a Wild: five reels by five rows, fifteen lines, VS symbols that expand into wild reels with duel multipliers, and three separate bonus games.

Is this the same as Wanted Dead or a Wild?

It plays the same way: the 5x5 board, fifteen lines, the VS duel reels with multipliers to 100x, the three bonus games at the same buy prices and the 12,500x cap. The setting is the Wilderness instead of the desert, the stakes are RuneScape gold, and every spin is provably fair.

How does the VS symbol work?

A VS symbol expands to cover its reel with wilds if doing so completes a winning line. Two pkers duel over the reel and the survivor's multiplier, from 2x to 100x, applies to every win on that reel. Expanded reels in one line add their multipliers.

What are the three bonus games?

Duel at Dawn (three DUEL scatters, 10 free spins with a VS on every spin, buy 200x), Dead Man's Hand (three DEAD scatters, respins collecting up to 20 wilds and a 31x multiplier, then three showdown spins, buy 400x) and The Great Heist (three HEIST scatters, 10 free spins with sticky wilds, buy 80x).

How volatile is Wanted: Dead or a Wildy?

Extremely volatile. Long losing runs are normal, in the base game and in bought features alike. The most a round can pay is 12,500x your bet.

Is it provably fair?

Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.
