The Wise Old Man has spent a lifetime accumulating Draynor's wealth and built a prize wheel to spend it on. Five reels, thirty fixed lines, and one thing worth waiting for: three Blue Partyhats anywhere on the board hand the machine over to the wheel.

How to play Wise Old Fortune

  1. Set your stake. All 30 paylines are always active - there is nothing to select and nothing to switch off.
  2. Spin. Lines pay left to right from reel 1, and the Wise Old Man is wild for every symbol except the partyhat.
  3. Watch the Blue Partyhats. At most one lands per reel, so you can count them building across the board - and when two have landed with the wheel still reachable, the remaining reels take noticeably longer to stop.
  4. Three or more partyhats pay their own coin award and open the Wise Old Fortune wheel.
  5. The wheel spins once for a prize between 5x and 1,000x your total stake. More partyhats weight it towards its better half.

About Wise Old Fortune

The base game is deliberately traditional - no tumbling reels, no respins, nothing to learn - because the whole point of the machine is the wheel, and every extra mechanic would be competing with it for your attention.

The wheel opens on average once every 84 spins, and that figure is exact rather than estimated: each reel strip carries exactly three partyhats, spaced far enough apart that no reel can ever show two, so a reel shows one exactly nine times in eighty. A third of the game's entire return sits behind that one event.

The wedge the wheel lands on is decided from the provably fair seed before the wheel starts moving. Nothing about the spin's speed, its length or where the pointer appears to catch can change it, and nothing you press during it can either.

Wise Old Fortune FAQ

What is the max win on Wise Old Fortune?

The wheel's top wedge is 1,000x your total stake, and the best possible spin is that plus whatever its own board paid - a little over 1,000x. A hard 2,500x ceiling sits above that in the maths as a guarantee, set deliberately higher than the game can reach.

How do you trigger the wheel?

Land three or more Blue Partyhats anywhere in view. They do not need to be on a payline, and at most one lands per reel, so three, four or five are all possible. It happens about once every 84 spins.

Are all the wheel's wedges equally likely?

No, and the game says so on its own Wheel Bonus screen. Several wedges carry the same prize and the wedges are weighted, so small prizes come up far more often than large ones. The average prize is about 27x for a three-partyhat trigger.

Is the wheel result decided by the animation?

No. The winning wedge is drawn from the server seed, your client seed and the nonce before the wheel moves at all; the animation is told where to stop and turns to it.

Is it provably fair?

Every round is generated from a server seed that is hashed and shown to you before you bet, combined with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. When you rotate your seed the old server seed is revealed, so you can replay every round it produced and confirm nothing changed after the fact.
