Set your stake and call heads or tails.
Call it right and you're at 1.98x. Take the money, or call the next flip.
Every correct call multiplies again: 3.92x after two, 7.76x after three, 15.37x after four.
Cash out after any flip. Ten in a row is the ceiling at 926.09x, and the game banks it for you automatically.
One wrong call ends the streak and takes the stake. The full sequence of landings is then revealed - it was fixed when you placed the bet, before you called anything.

About Coinflip

A fair coin would pay 2x. Paying 1.98x is exactly a 1% house edge, and because it is taken per flip the streak multiplier is (2 x 0.99)^n - 1.98x, 3.92x, 7.76x, 15.37x and so on. The edge compounds along with the payout, which is the honest trade for letting the streak run.

This is the game OSRS players have been running by hand in Falador for twenty years, with the two parts that always went wrong removed: nobody has to trust a host to pay out, and nobody has to trust that the coin was real.

Why is a coinflip 1.98x and not 2x?

Because 2x would be a zero-edge game. The 0.02 difference is the 1% house edge, and it is the only cut taken - there is no additional fee on a cash-out.

How is OSRS coinflip different from the in-game version?

In game you had to trust a host to actually pay you, and to have flipped fairly. Here the result comes from a hashed server seed committed before your call, and the payout is automatic.

Can I cash out mid-streak?
